Question: I often stop myself from dreaming about a better life for myself. What's the point if I never going to have it. It's easier to just lower my expectations. Am I right?
Lira: I am sorry you feel this way. Hopefully, after reading my answer you will be inspired to dream bigger and reach for your dreams with confidence.
Well, when you were a little child, you had been told, don't expect too much, or you will be disappointed. So you learned to shut yourself down, be 'realistic'. As you grew up, this statement had become your firm belief. The good news is, any belief, no matter how firm it seems to be, can be changed. In your case it needs to be changed. I haven't told your whole story here, it is private, but, believe me, you are not alone. So many people had been brought up to believe a lot of BS about what they can and can't do. We all know how hard it is to break free from that. First, forgive the people, who gave it to you, your parents. They where really trying to protect you from disappointment in life. Now, you had grown up. You can handle disappointment. Right?
I want you to watch this video for inspiration and understanding how to change your beliefs about yourself. Enjoy and begin your healing and transformation. Contact me if you want to seriously upgrade your beliefs.
